Steve Shepard was born at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana in 1953. He is the first child of Clara Maxine Ivey and the first grandchild of Albert Eddie and Gracie Ivey. He grew up all over the USA and started his training in photography as a teenager with Don Gucker, Ph.d.

Steve Shepard is an independent artist, contractor, photographer, and writer. He has been engaged in the computer, electronics, lighting, and solar industries since 1980 and currently holds multiple certificates and licenses in these industries. Available for hire. As an artist/technician he has been producing photography, carvings, sculpture, and drawings for decades. Steve Shepard is the author of Brother Against Brother (A Civil War historical fiction novel.)
